computer freeze up

computer freeze up

hi gang

when i try to enter some website my computer freezes up.i can enter
most websites i have a problem only with a chosen few.is it my comp-
ter or the website im trying to enter thats the culpret?how can i fix it
if its my computer?i havr no problem getting on and surfing the inter
-net only these choise sites.thanks

are you using Firefox or IE?

Could they be the [-X type? Your firewall/spyblocker/porn blocker could be causing problems...

Yeah, but that usually only makes the page not show up or return a error, not BSOD the machine, or so I've been told :wink:

Well you might want to try FireFox and see if it's any more stable for you. I only use IE now when it's a site that just doesn't work with FF which is very rare these days. You might have some other conflict going on like a java problem or something else messed up.

Yes, I agree, try Firefox or Opera Browser
