You have Nero, right? Open up Nero Burning Rom and select Extras->Encode Files. Import your wma files and output them to mp3 or whatever other format you want.

when i try to encode them i get....

one or more files cannot be added for encoding.it maybe possible that the files be added if a decected plug in is
installed.microsofy doesnot allow transcoding of wma files to another format.

Not sure. I can't bring myself to buy any DRM'd tracks.

If you don't have DRM protected audio, dBpoweramp or Easy CD-DA Extractor can convert your audio.

if your files are drm'ed you could try tunebite, it converts protected files into unprotected ones.It should solve your problem.
