Lite-On iHES206 BD Combo Drive

Lite-On has officially announced its new BD Combo drive. The iHES206 reads single layer Blu-ray discs at 6x and is capable of 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD±R DL, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW and 12x DVD-RAM writing speeds. The drive is scheduled to ship in November for an estimated retail price of 139 euro ($188US). No word on when it will hit the US.

According to earlier reports, it had a Mediatek chipset. If its anything like the DH-4O1S, it probably will.
