Not sure what you mean by "exporting photos". Can you explain? If you simply mean getting them off a flash media card/camera, I am sure there are better ways than using Roxio software unless it has some sort of automatic sorting feature.

A decent card reader may be the best solution... I use Compact Flash in my dSLR. Guessing you have a compact digital camera and it may take SD/SDHC cards.

Here is a decent all-in-one card reader: Atech G5 Pro

I have a Lexar CF/SD reader that works for my needs just fine.

Dragging them off a memory card onto your PC will free things up... I shoot with a dSLR and have several memory cards on standby. I can shoot 400+ photos in a day (drives my wife nuts too... but that is the fun part).

Seems to me you are looking for a software product like Nero or Roxio to be your all in one solution to what you need to do. Don't mean to be blunt, but stop thinking like that and do some googling. A lot of what you are tying to do can be done for little to no cost with better products than Nero or Roxio can provide you.
