a new sound card

hi gang

i just installed a new soundcard but when i looked at my devise manager its listed in yellow as a "multimedia audio controller" in yellow.i know this isnt good so what can i do?i uninstalled everything(soundcard and drivers)and rein-
stalled them but still have this issue..what else can i do?

It's probably missing the driver. If you view the properties, it will tell you what the issue is.

the issue seems to be with the multimedia audio controler...thats whats in yellow.the card seems to be ok...

Soundcards usually have multiple pieces within the device manager. The multimedia audio controler is probably one of them.

Okay, do this. Right click on the multimedia audio controller in device manager and choose properties. Under the General tab, it lists the device status. Copy and paste this text or post a screenshot so we know exactly what the issue is.

Also, if you look under Details, there is a Device Instance ID. If you post that, I can try to figure out what the multimedia audio controller actually is.

well i was told its a bios conflick by a friend who knows computers....

success i turned off the sound in my f2 setup...it wasnt the bios at all.thanks..
