problems burning cds on my computer

hi gang

ive been having issues with my computer cd/dvd burner.when i try to burn a cd there are to many long gaps between the tunes.sometimes the cd burner wont recogzise there is a cd in it.of when i use the cd on my portable player the player will play the last song first instead of the first song first.ive tried different buring softwares with the same resultsim think-
ink of getting a new burner but im not sure.what do you think?

I'm not sure why they'd play out of order, but the gap problem is easy to fix.

For one, make sure you're using DAO and not SAO. Some programs like Nero also put a pause between the tracks. You have to go in and set it to 0 seconds.

Also, I don't think its an issue with the drive. Most likely, its something with they way the disc is being burned.

hi
i had it set for at first 2 seconds but still the gap was there.somnetimes the cd/dvd burner cant feel the cd in it..is there a waqy to adjust the dvd/cd burner...a software that i could try?where would this dao be listed?it was working great before..
