keep LG ggw-h20l or buy LG BH12LS38

just wondering if there would be any benefit in getting this and what difference it may make.
I can buy a BH12LS38 for around $100.
I know both are discontinued

You'd get 12x BD-R and BD-R DL writing speeds and support for LTH media. Unless you really need that, I'd just hold onto the GGW-H20L. It was and still is a good drive.

I THINK they added support for LTH to that drive but never bought any to try with mine yet. They were putting out updates quite regularly for it at first even after it was discontinued, but nothing for quite a while now.
Kinda thinking about maybe getting a faster one too but I'll never get rid of mine as it's pretty special what with HD DVD read support.

You're right. Looks like its supported with firmware YL05 and newer.
