CoverDesigner create new paper stock

Postby Pilgrim on Mon May 19, 2014 2:20 pm

I'm using Cover Designer 6.0.11000 and want to create a new paper stock to print discs with my Canon Pixma ip7220 (Disc Tray J). Can someone provide all the correct parameters for me, please?

I asked this question on the Nero forum and it's been 28 days with no response. Hopefully, someone here can help.

TIA

Someone posted a template for Tray G. With a little trial and error you could do something similar for Tray J.

http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=12639

According to this, the paper size for Tray J is 5.12 x 8.85 inches (13.0 x 22.48 cm)

Canon's CD-LabelPrint works pretty good.

The Canon ip7220 printer does not appear in the compatibility list, however.

It looks like Canon wants you to use some app called My Image Garden to print labels. I'm sure its as craptastic as it sounds.

Just to report back and let you guys know how it went with the parameters supplied........ GREAT!! I was beginning to wonder if I would ever be able to use the direct to DVD/CD printing capability of this printer especially since I bought it primarily for that feature since my Epson Artisan 50 is getting old and temperamental, hehe.

@Ian: You are 100% correct about "My Image Garden"... it's crapola but I suppose it would suffice for a beginner.

Thanks again for the help.
