Pioneer stopping manufacturing of blu ray disk drives

it looks like pioneer is stopping their sale of internal drives based off the pricing of their internal drives dramatically increased in a short time

And their older gen models are also drastically increased in price (prob stock issues) from their msrp.

I hope pioneer is developing a new drive, if not this might be the end for high quality blu ray drives (and dvd and cd drives) now, and with lg ending their blu ray player business, i don’t doubt they will come after the drives also.

Also im gen z if that matters and i never actually bought any of the name brand optical drives brand new before, only lg til now since i need something with good recording quality.

It's been two and a half years since Pioneer released their latest portable and desktop drives. I'm guessing they're done.
