Yamaha 24x Blank CD-Rs won't burn at 24x!!

I have some Yamaha 24x blank cd-rs that I bought along with a 3200ez. I can't get them to burn at 24x. I tried 16x and the drive corrected down to 12x due to media type. What gives? I am using firmware 1.0b and Nero 5.5.5.1. I keep getting "Track Following Error" when I try to burn them at 24x, got the error at 16x too ubntil I upgraded the firmware. I have 16x TDKs that work fine at 16x. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having the same prob. I even bought some Fuji 48x media.

Yamaha drives are media picky.
The CRW3200 even more so than the CRW2200.
I was using Maxcel 16x media in the CRW3200 and it burned at 24x.
I try others like Princo 24x and it burns at 16x.
On the CRW2200 the Princo burns at 20x.
