The last PX Engine Update v3.58 released by Veritas didn't provide support for the Sony dru-500a, and they have removed the driver update from their site. I'm not sure what's going on with that. Unless Veritas has some scheme to prevent future free recorder support, I would expect support in the next PX Engine Update (if they ever release it again).

Stomp Record Now Max is essentially the same thing as Prassi Primo DVD.
Version 4.5 supports the DRU-500A.
