I see that media made with TY seems to be more stable and more overburnable than CMC media. Is this a fact or am i reading things. Also if ty is great for HS burning which manufacturer should i use. Rignt now I am torn between fuji and TDK. Any suggestions

TY media generally has been more stable and reliable, especially when being able to burn it at higher speeds (ex: 24x Fujis can be burned at 40x). I believe that TDK is now using Ritek for their spindles but there could be some TY in there too - just always look for the Made In Japan on the spindle .. some other people in the forum have some tips for finding TY media too, I'll leave that to them :) Bottom line, if you want TY media, then go for Fuji... guaranteed TY, and plus they're on sale this week @ Best Buy. Can't go wrong.

Memorex also uses TY media, but most of their CD-R's are made by CMC. Just look for the spindles that say Made in Japan on them if you want Memorex media made by TY.
