Light deals...but here's what to look for on Friday

Postby scottm on Fri Nov 29, 2002 3:04 am

The winner of the deals....by a longshot. A real surprise...CompUSA. No one else even comes close to their deals. Of COURSE I didn't get their flyer in my personal paper...grrrr.

Anyone notice they made a mistake under the posted deals and switched CompUSA and Best Buy? No wonder Hox had no clue of the deals I was mentioning ;)

Here's the better ones (rebates already included--although they still suck!) :)

COMP USA:

$200 200 Gig WD Harddrive. Wow.
$100 Sound Blaster Audigy SoundCard Platinum

$150 Epson C82 photo printer with free 48x24x48 Sony drive (LiteOn).

$100 AIW 7500 Radeon w/ 64meg

More---not only computer-based (EB=Early Bird):

K-mart (EB):
$37 price on George Foreman Party Grill and bonus regular grill. Who cares if he's made milllions...this thing is the bomb.

Staples (EB):
$149 HP 950 Multi-function printer. Memory card reads too.
$10 Cendyne (LiteOn) 40x12x48 burner.

Radio Shack (EB):
$10 Koss double-headphone pack (home&portable). No rebate!
$5 Fuji 50-pack CDRs (TY?)

WalMart (EB):
$150 27" TV

Buslink drive...

Postby scottm on Fri Nov 29, 2002 3:23 am

The Buslink external burner at CompUSA is definitely a Lite-On. Does anyone know if this particular drive has an on-off switch???

3 Deals Worth Your Time To Get Up Early

$10 for Cendyne 40x12x48 CD-RW Drive @ Staples is a real good deal if you can find the boxes with Lite-On drives inside them.

$5 for a 50-Pack of Fuji's @ Radio Shack is another really good deal since they are made by Taiyo Yuden.

The Cendyne 16x DVD-Rom at Officemax that's FREE after rebates is supposed to be a Lite-On LTD-163. So that's an awesome deal right there.

I concur...I mentioned them all :) That 52x external for $99 is my main target. We'll see what happens.

That deal is really good too. BUSlink uses Lite-On drives for their internal CD-RW drives, so I wouldn't be surprised if that external one is made by Lite-On too.

Good Luck Everyone Shopping.

BuddhaTB ok i found it but its $4.99 after the $10 mail in rebate :(
Well its not a bad deal but bestbuy deal of $12.99 then the $10 mail in rebate is a little better. To bad its nor $4.99 with no rebates. It will be a miracle if this ever happens on fuji (TY) media.

I haven't seen the Radio Shack Ad myself, I just saw the deal listed online and from this thread. I would just drive over to Radio Shack and check out this deal if you need some nice CD-R's for a really good price. I'm not sure how many Radio Shack will have in stock either, so just go and check it out for yourself. I think its $5 without any rebates, since its an early bird special. I just hope someone else clears this up if I am wrong in any aspect relating to this $5 Fuji CD-R deal.

The radioshack ad i got in the paper had $15 then $10 mail in rebate which made it $5. Its still a ok deal just not as good as $5 instantly.

Radio Shack...

Postby scottm on Fri Nov 29, 2002 8:56 am

Radio Shack IS $5 after rebate, but it's not an early bird...it's all weekend long.

What IS early-bird is the double-pack of Koss headphones for $10. Definitely grab that one.

AFAIK they are VERY good.
