TV Tuner/Capture Card

Postby ccb056 on Sat Nov 30, 2002 1:08 pm

I'm looking for a PCI card that can browse tv stations, capture video, and encode it for less than 100 USD at high quality, any suggestions? Thanx for your time.

I'm using ATI's TV Wonder PCI [stereo, MPEG 2].

Unfortunately for me, I have to run it with very old drivers to get it to work correctly. Other people don't have any problems whatsoever. I paid $89 Canadian, so in USD, it should be pretty cheap.

I really don't trust ATI's drivers, but the TV image quality can't be beat for me.

You can also consider a All In Wonder PCI card from them too.

I have the TV Wonder PCI as well, and it's a pretty good card considering there are newer TV Tuner cards out there. I agree that the ATI drivers are a little shoddy, but I'm using the beta drivers v7.6 and they seem to work well in XP. I can't say the same about the older, non-beta drivers v7.0 in XP.
