Burn time with 1x and 2x

Postby Khanh M on Thu Dec 05, 2002 8:29 pm

All:

New here. I ordered my Sony DRU500A a couple of days ago from a buddy of mine that works at Sony. Not a bad price at all.

I was wondering what the actual burn times you guys are experiencing at 1x and 2x?

Thanks...

I'm waiting to see how the new FW that enables 4X performs before I pull the trigger.

It can already do 4x DVD-R, just not +R yet. 4x discs are just too much $ right now; I'll be getting a bunch of 2x discs when I order my drive...

It takes me about 25 min. on my Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R/RW Drive when burning at 2.4x. That is for a full DVD. 4.7GB. Although I hear the actual size of a DVD is really only 4.37GB.
