Nero isn't known for making exact copies of protected software. It's great for music and data compilation of unprotected software. It's like Easy CD Creator +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++........ :)

If you do a internet search, you'll find references to programs such as CloneCD, Alcohol and Blindwrite for data and games.

Then for music, there's Feurio, Exact Audio Copy and I actually like Nero personally.

I can't comment on other programs that I haven't used but they ARE available. 8)

I think CloneCD is excellent for making exact copies of software and game CD's, while Nero is good for audio/music CD's and anything else.

The latest clonecd has a "protected" cd profile and has auto error skipping and others - it actually is damn good and perfectly copies all and ive had no probs with it.

Latest backups ive done are spearhead, max payne, rtcw, winxp pro, gta3, jedi knight 2.

All imaged to harddrive.

Remember you should allways image the cd's not copy on the fly from cd to cd as that can cause errors.
