Which DVD+R disks are better, Verbatim or Ritek?

NOTE:

Ritek is Memorex and Fuji.

I don't feel that is a fair comparison. Maybe Ritek DVD+R vs. CMC DVD+R or Ritek DVD-R vs. Princo DVD-R. Or, Mitsubishi Chemicals Verbatim DVD-R vs. Mitsui DVD-R vs. Hitachi Maxell DVD-R vs. Taiyo Yuden DVD-R.

The Fujis I have are Taiyo Yuden and I agree with the other post, comparing Verbatim to Ritek is like comparing apples and oranges.

You have TY DVD+R's?

GIVE ME. TELL ME WHERE TO GET THEM. My Fuji's were made in Taiwan.

I don't know if A&B Sound have any stores in the States but that's where I bought my Fuji DVD-Rs.

Hey aviationwiz, you wanted some TY DVD+Rs? Why don't you just buy them from Best Buy. They sell Fuji DVD+Rs which are probably made by Taiyo Yuden as well seeing as how their CDrs and DVD-Rs are made by Taiyo Yuden as well.
Here's a link: http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=111 ... &scat=2845
I'm sorry I didn't send this to you before but my brain has been asleep these past couple weeks doing some training at work.

I may be wrong, but I seem to recall reading that the Fuji DVD+R discs are not made by Taiyo Yuden, unlike the Fuji CD-R discs. Unfortunately, I can't remember who is purported to make them, nor can I find the post where I read it (dang the crippled search function!! :x  )

Also, the packaging pictured on the Best Buy website doesn't have any of the standard TY characteristics:

It looks more like Ritek packaging. However, that assumes that DVD packaging shares the same characteristics as CD-R packaging, and I don't know if that is true. If anyone knows for sure who makes the Fuji DVD+R discs, please let us know.
