LG and Samsung to make DVD+RW writers

The original news source is eTimes of South Korea, a major South Korean newspaper on electronics and computer hardware, quoting LG and Samsung. The translation is awkward mainly because one person writes the news in Korean and another translates it into English with hardly any knowledge what it's about.

I have heard rumors of LG working on a dual RW drive sort of like the Sony. However, I'll believe when I see it. They're in pretty tight with the DVD Forum right now.

The biggest customers for LG in the ODD market are HP and Dell. Also, in the domestic South Korean market, DVD+R/+RW is already known to many potential future buyers and LG has something like 70% market share here in CD writers and DVD-ROM drives. LG and Samsung have more to lose if they don't support one of the two major DVD recordable formats.
