Plextor and Yamaha won't be coming out with anything soon. The only new stuff Plextor mght release are SCSI drives and faster Combo drives. The next drive Lite-On will release, is probably a 52x32x52 CD-RW drive. You will be seeing that drive most likely in the first half of 2003. Most of the companies are shifting their focus to the re-writable DVD market and trying to improve the DVD writing technology. If any new drives are announced, Ian will post something on the main page of CDRLabs.com
