Getting DRU-500A to burn DVD movies for my Playstation 2

I recently purchased the Sony DRU-500A. I also own a PS2 39001 V7. How would I go about burning a DVD movie that is playable on my PS2? What kind of media should I use and from what maker? Please help. I don't want to make useless coasters.

I have the same equipment as you, and so far so good.
Your ps2, is the last version and support all DVD formats ( DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW ). I making my backup by two ways, first using DVDXCOPY, the second I fowling the guides in www.doom9.org
In Portugal, doesn’t exist very kind of medias, I try only Princo and I’m 100% satisfied.
Before starting the backups, make sure that you already have the last FIRMWARE of your SONY DRU, the version 1.0F.
