JLMS XJ-HD166S (LTD-166S) doesn't plays CDS 200 protected CD

Postby vio_man on Tue Dec 24, 2002 11:20 pm

I have a new Audio CD protected with Cactus Data Shield 200. It lets EAC rip the tracks but the dic's tracks can't be played. I'm using the latest DS0F firmware. It seems LiteOn forgot that some users would like also to listen the music :-?

I'm not sure which version my more fast and the Furious is but it rips it fine, none of my other Liteon drives work. I'm also using the latest firmware.

My LiteON rips it too, but can't play the tracks.

Well this one rips it and the tracks play. I just checked it with Cloney and it claims it's key2 audio so maybe it doesn't apply to your problem but I know my others wont rip the tracks on this, even with Clone I just get blank tracks with the others.

Well, if your titles is protected by Key2Audio is not using the same protection, as my CD is protected by Cactus Data Shield 200. My LiteON just ignores the software track and I can't even access it.
