LG Big in South Africa

Postby aviationwiz on Mon Dec 23, 2002 6:54 am

LG Electronics appears to be big in South Africa. They make TV's, burners (of course) and just about everything under the sun. They have a big building here in Cape Town as well. What else do they make?

They make all kinds of electronics. But what do you mean by "They have a big building here in Cape Town"? I thought you live in Minnesota, aviationwiz. :P Unless you are on vacation, then by all means, enjoy the lovely weather. It sure beats Minnesnowta. :)

HDTV, LCD monitor, department store, convenience stores and other retail chains, home shopping, web portal, credit card, banks, TV stations, pro baseball, university, hospital, apartments, refrigerators, washing machine, MP3 players, DVD players, DVD writers and media, PC, notebooks, keyboard, oil station, LAN cables and adapters and fibre, VHS players/recorders, camcorders, PCS/Cellular, wireless phone, PC case, and many many other things and services.

but not fighters, tanks, ships, rifles, I guess. :D

The first things LG produced were soap and toothpaste.

I'm on vacation. Now I'm at Johannesburg Intl. Airport getting ready to board my flight for New York in about an hour and a half. Then I take NWA to Minnesota.
