Post count mismatch

Postby dodecahedron on Sat Jan 04, 2003 2:22 am

there is a mismatch between the number of posts i have made, as is displayed in 2 different places: in the number of posts next to my name besides every post in the forums; and in the list of ALL my posts (reached throught the Viewing Profile window - click on "Find all posts by dodecahedron").

just look at the number on the left and compare with:
http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/search.php ... decahedron

the second is alway 1 less than the first.

why is that?

In truth, I believe this is simply another manifestation of the site's ongoing search problems.

What Post?  I know of no such thing.

As for my profile, yeah I'm hiding links to past pics in there for future use.

We're going to have to take up a collection so BuddhaTB can buy some sort of high-density, removable, digital storage medium on which to store his valuable data. Apparently he is really, really low on disk space right now and has to squirrel away his data in various hidden web forum stashes. What will be next, term papers in his signature box? :D

Hmmm, what sort of storage medium do you think we ought to suggest?

LOL!

Too funny cfitz. My thinking was, since there are free spaces to put stuff in my profile, why not use it to the full extent? But a collection would be nice too.

BuddhaTB, ever the pragmatist. :) Actually, I took a sneak peak, and I am now looking forward to that making its appearance as your avatar. It looks sweet.

Okay. Everyone send your donations in care of me, and once I've collected a big enough pot, I'll distribute it to BuddhaTB.
