DVD Media

I was wondering if you could possibly maybe have a section of media that has been reported to work with DVD-RW/+RW. Cause i haven't seen any other site provide such information.

You mean make a list of which DVD media works best with which DVD+R/RW drives? Sort of like the Media Compatability thread for CD-RW drives?

I think that's what he means. As for myself, I think a DVD version of the Media Compatibility thread would be helpful to everyone visiting CDRLabs.

The only thing holding me back is a DVD writer; I don't have one yet so I couldn't contribute very much. Although, upon browsing the DVD forum, there are some posts that do a good job of listing media compatability (especially with the Sony DRU-500A). It's just a matter of compiling it into a thread. I may undertake the task if I have some spare time.

One question: How does one check to see if a recorded DVD-R/+R is error free? CD Speed has ScanDisc, but is there a DVD Speed with a similar feature?

I was not talking about a thread for the "Forum" but for the main page to have a link that then list all the model and media etc.. that works with each one

This has been discussed with the CD Media Compatability thread, although if it happens it would probably be placed under the Articles link at the top of the web site.
