Fuji 48x "Glow In The Dark" Discs

Perhaps I'm missing the point here, but why would you want a glow in the dark disc?

Glow-In-The-Dark Condoms: sure, why not? (keep it clean, it's a family forum).

But CD-R's ?

I remember seeing glow in the dark cassettes but never saw the reason for them except they looked cool, and the novelty value quickly wore off.

The only purpose I see for glow in the dark CD-R's is that they make it eaiser to find and swap CD's while driving at night. Or maybe for club DJ's who work in dark places.

Its strange that Fuji are putting these out - this sounds like something Memorex or a obscure CD-R company would do. I wonder who makes them? Taiyo??

Just another marketing scheme to jack up the price of CD's. Sadly enough, some people will buy these discs because they "look cool" although they are the same quality as every other Fuji disc.

I agree that those two reasons are the only ones that would make the glow in the dark disc useful. Most of the time the CD is in the player and you can't even see the colors glowing, so there's no point to that.

Also, some newer boomboxes have transparent cd covers, so that also makes these discs attractive.
