Question regarding LG 8481B

I've been looking at the LG 8481B 48x24x48. But have found differnet answers to this questions on this board. I live in Canada.

Does it have Mt Rainier support?

Does it do correct EFM encolding?

after you update firmware it supports mt. rainer, and im not sure about EFM encoding

according to Ian's review of the 8480B, it appears that it can do EFM.
