lite on LTR-32123S sd2???

Postby Lugnut on Thu Jan 30, 2003 2:31 pm

I have recently rma'd a really bad BTC drive and am now searching the internet for best possible deal anyhow i came across a page that stated that the LTR-32123S is capable of backing up SD2? But yet i havent been able to find any reviews on it where this was tested. Can anyone tell me if this drive indead has read/write capabilities of SD2? and if so what software would i want to use with the drive to perform backups of my games.

Review

1. Review was read. Unless i missed something i did not see anything about SD2 that is why i was asking. Although there are something's in the review that was like a foreign language to me like ATIP. But from the wording it sounded like something to do with media speed ratings.

2. Rules were already read also.

Sorry if you may think i act like a dummy.

Thanks.

Of course it can copy Safedisc 2 .

Lite-On CD-RW drives are the best performers with Safedisk 2 .

if you re-read the reviews, you'll see that he talks about backing up games such as Serious Sam etc. they are protected by SD2.xx (don't knwo exactly what version).
for a drive to be able to back up games, it is best if it can "do EFM" correctly. so look for that in the reviews.
