April Fools Day

Postby F1Pilot on Sat Feb 22, 2003 8:20 am

Alright gang...I need some help here. I need suggestions on GOOD jokes for April Fools Day.

So far, one of my plans is to have a patient of mine whose on the police force to have a few (4) of his friends "arrest" me at work and haul me away. Of course when you get arrested and hauled away, they state the reasons...maybe murder or something. I work half day that day, so it'll be funny until the next morning. I'm still debating on if I should tell my boss about it beforehand.

I'd stay away from murder, but something like exposing yourself in public would be funny.

I guess it depends on your boss. Something like this would never fly at my work.

Might that not be traumatic for any of your other patients who might happen to witness the event? And is there any prohibition against engaging with your patients (e.g. the cop) in a 'personal' manner outside of the therapeutic relationship? You obviously know more about this than I do, but my gut reaction would be to pick something less radical and less likely to damage your reputation and or career.

or their career. All it takes is someone (not involved) to call the police office asking about it...

I've often thought about a roll of 'Police Line-Do Not Cross' tape, some fake blood and a chalk outline could be funny in your neighbour's driveway/sidewalk when they wake up in the morning...

Hmmmmmmmm...ALL good points to consider.

As far as my boss goes, he's just as bad as I am. We're always doing stuff back and forth. :P
