Intel Motherboard, cyrix processor.

Can I replace an intel pentium 200mhz processor with a Cyrix 300 MHZ? The pentium system is an old Micron (The Cyrix is a socket 7 and since the Micron case is a pain to get into, i want to be sure that it is worth a try)
