LG 52x or Liteon 64x ?

How fast is too fast?

LG 52x or Liteon 64x ?

Which is better ? Here in Brazil the Liteon is cheaper.

BTW, I can't find anything about the Liteon 64x at http://www.liteonit.com.tw/english/engl ... htm#CD-ROM

I opened a thread at http://www.liteonit.com.tw/english/engl ... p?tno=5381

I think the drive may be falsified.

I would say that they either made a mistake or are scamming you. LiteOn never made a 64x drive that I am aware of.

Go with the LG 52x.

Anyways, I made this post so I don't have to see nypk's name under the CD-ROM section anymore.

i don't like the new LG 52x CD-ROM
i think it's called GCR-8520B
i had the previous model CRD-8521B. crappy performance, inconsistent at reading CDR.
had it replaced and got the newer model - does not support reading sub-channel data info (not too big a deal) and also does not report C2 errors so CD Speed ScanDisc is a no go !!!! :x :x :x
(both of these functions were on the older model... :o )
