Do you think Bestbuy will ever have Fuji CD-Rs on sale again

Postby imtim83 on Sun Mar 09, 2003 5:30 am

I know the had them on sale last week or the week before that but i am talking about like how they use to be. It seems like they are using more mail in rebates now. :(

If history is any guide, then sure they will have them on sale again. But yes, the sales will involve rebates.

cfitz i am talking about the $10 instant rebate with the 50 pack of Fuji CD-Rs and the $18 instant rebate with the 100 pack of Fuji CD-Rs. A few weeks ago the instant rebate was smaller for the 100 pack of Fuji CD-Rs i believe it was. Then it had 2 mail in rebates i believe rather than one like before.

The 100-Pack still had the $18 rebate last time around. It's just Best Buy didn't make the instant rebate as big as before. That's why there was a $18 and a $4 rebate involved with the 100-pack of Fuji's last time.

I am sure we would all prefer large instant rebates (or just plain lower prices - the effect is the same), but none of us here are in charge of setting Best Buy's sale policy. And we aren't privy to their future sales plans. So all we can do is wait and see.

If you are considering making a purchase, and want to know whether or not to wait for a non-MIR deal, I would suggest just going ahead and making a purchase the next time they go on sale, with or without mail in rebates. Best Buy rebates seem to be pretty reliable, unlike CompUSA's.

Best Buy and Fuji rebates are both reliable. However, they take time to get to you.
