175GB HDD at Comp USA is a Western Digital

Postby aviationwiz on Fri Mar 21, 2003 8:41 pm

Just like to add that the 175GB HDD at Comp USA as part of thier 19th anniversary specials is a Western Digital. My local store sold out within 10 min.

I did NOT buy one.

175GB?

I'm only aware of 40, 80, 100, 120, 180 and 200 GB SE versions.

It wasn't a Special Edition drive, just a regular 2 MiByte cache version:

Of course, I don't see a 175 GByte disc on Western Digital's site in any configuration. Is it some sort of special CompUSA only model or an older model on closeout? I don't know. But, the drive is sold out and the sale is over anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter... :(

I'm not sure. All I know is that it is indeed 175GB, and it is made by WD.
