Please help ... LG GCE-8481B

Hey Everybody,
I recently bought a LG GCE-8481B CDR. It is working OK, but I'm not able to burn 90Mins cd's. People tell me the CDR supports media up to 99Mins (can someone confirm this as well).
I tried Nero 5599 and 5510, I adjusted the configuration to enable overburning but without result. The first CD's I used were AllStar 90Mins and the Nero Media viewer says it is a CD of 702Mb, 80Mins thus.

Please help me out, thanks in advance for your reactions.

Have you carefully read and followed Spazmogen's overburning guide?

It is normal for discs of greater than 80-minute capacity to be reported as 80-minute capacity.

Thx for your quick reply and sorry for my late reaction.
I still encounter the same problem, I did follow your advise and checked out Spazmogens site which was very helpful, but only for audio. I read he's going to be this kind and give the same info on his site but for data.
I was wondering if you would have some advise, tips or tricks.

Please give more detail as to exactly where things go wrong you, and what, if any, error messages you get. Although Spazomgen's guide is written with CD Audio discs as an example, the same steps apply to overburning a data disc. Just make a data disc compilation rather than an audio compilation, and skip the bit about setting the gap/pause between tracks to 0 seconds (which isn't even necessary for an audio disc, but is sometimes desirable depending on the music selection).

Overburning is working now!

I was looking around in the forum and caught some tips from you CfitZ and Spazmogen. It was the damned wizard which was fooling me. So if anybody else would read this and is having the same problem with DATA in Nero, the CD simply being rejected, just try without the wizard and you'll see ... it'll work.
