What's new ?

If it's just a time limitation for the evaluation. We don't need to upgrade.

How coincidental. I just installed the previous, 5.5.10.15 (over the 5.5.10.7) last night. Had a bit of a hitch, but didn't post as I worked it out.

Near the end of the install process, I got that something .....ASPI...... business with a suggestion to reboot and try again. Of course, that didn't work so I removed Nero through Control Panel, Add/remove Programs. Then I let Norton WinDoctor repair 87 errors. Reinstalled Nero from the bundled, OEM CD with my Memorex 52x, 24, 52x. Then put the 5.5.10.15 on top of that and everything went well.

May as well install this latest now that I know how to revert if I get in trouble.

Confidently yours,
Slim

Side note: Just read that thread which spanned the holiday season concerning the differences between OEM versions and others. My input on the issue of consumers buying drives and not the bundled S/W: Having previous exposure to Nero as bundled with my Yamaha CR3200E, bundled Nero was a specific requirement for the purchase of my next drive.

Updating (new revision ) is cost money and man hour resources, we must appreciate the company that using its resources for better performance and improvement on operation of their product and make them available at no cost to us consumers.
