Noticed an increase in performance with my 8500, better 2D and XP GUI is snappier.

P4 2.6C, Thermalright SP94/Panaflo 92MM M1A, IC7 Max3, Swifty MCX159, 1GB Geil PC4000 Ultra Plat, Radeon 8500, Audigy 2, 2X WD Raptor RAID 0, WD 250GB SE, Plex 708A, 166SDVD, LianLi PC75, XP Pro.

Did you guys notice the new MMC too (8.1)?

Note that the DVD Software update will not work with cards older than the 9000 since the software included with them is based on a Ravisant Decoder, and the newer ones and the update are based on PowerDVD. Owners of older software/cards can purchase the update for a small fee to cover royalties...

ati dvd player vs powerdvd xp

Hey~

I just bought A-I-W 8500DV that comes with ati dvd player and LTD-166s that comes with powerdvd xp. I wonder which one does best video output, ati dvd player or powerdvd xp?
