Samsung 48x CD-R's opinions needed

has anyone tried them yet?

I just ordered 2 spindles of 100 from www.tigerdirect.ca for $87 taxes and shipping included (about $56 USD).

I'm not sure who really made them. I see from TheWizard's media thread that CMC, ProDisc & RiTek have made discs for Samsung in the past. I hope they're ProDisc. I've had excellent results with ProDisc in the past.

BTW: www.tigerdirect.ca is very welcome in Canada. That's another major US retialer that's opened a CDN store. Best Buy is going wild with store openings up here.

I bought some off a spindle, and they were Nan-Ya discs. YMMV, cos I bought 20, out of which 10-12 were very good, and the rest sucked.
I'm using a 52246S,6s0C.

Spaz: When you get the CD's and run some tests, let us know the results and I'll post them to the Media Compatibility List. Thanks. :)

InstantInfo is no help- the fastest listed there is 12x. :o So we're eagerly awaiting your report. I've had good results with Prodisc, too (and Ritek for that matter- but I've only tried TDK 40x).

Let me just say that (as far as the picture goes) that is one classy disk- looks really elegant !

and they are made by Plasmon, too.
