I don't know of any lately but I know they sometimes run specials because I believe I picked up a Visioneer OneTouch 5800USB for $15 after rebates at BestBuy. It's REALLY CHEAP and it seems like it's ready to break but it works great for scanning documents, wouldn't recommend it for photos though.

See Scanners 42bit at PriceWatch for prices starting at $29 including shipping.

NewEgg has the Artec E+ 48U 48bit USB scanner for $39 including shipping. This is not a top quality scanner, but I have one that I got for free after rebates on a promotional deal. I am happy with it, and it works better for me that the Visioneer scanner that it replaced.

Doesnt really matter brand or usb 1.1 or 2, cheaper the better, looking for maybe a good rebate deal, I haven't seen too many lately though...

Thanks for the advice, keep it coming...

I got a Memorex MEM48U at Staples for $15 AMIR last month. Keep your eyes open, a lot of these stores revolve certain items on and off specials monthly.

I got this scanner three times in the past year or less (two Memorex rebadged Artecs and one Artec).
First one was a while ago for $20 AR, second was $5 AR + tax on $55; third was also $5 AR + tax on $65 (recent purchase).
Just keep your eyes open :)

I have the same model too, except its Memorex branded. I got it as a gift, but I can't complain for scanning documents and my rebate forms. Doesn't do that well of a job scanning photos when compared to scanners in the $100-$150 range, which it shouldn't be compared to.

on 2/16/03 OfficeMax had a $15 after rebate offer on the Visioneer 8700.

I bought this a year ago for $90 from Sam's Club. It's a fantastic scanner - very fast, good detail, and good scanning software.

For $15 it was a steal. If you can find this scanner on sale you would be wise to pick one up.
