Do SANYO is still producing drives ? Plextor is well known to use SANYO chipsets ( i don't know if the whole drives are made by SANYO ) .
In my country i don't see today SANYO branded drives .

No, Plextor's drives are not made by Sanyo. :wink:

Here's a link to Sanyo's CD-RW website:

http://www.digital-sanyo.com/BURN-Proof ... index.html

It has a list of all of their OEM drives.

if you don't mind my hijacking the thread, Nerva (now that you got your question answered), what does SPQR stand for?
i do know it is some slogan (?) or some such of the Roman Legions.

Senatus PopulusQue Romanus

Senatus = Senate
Populus = People
Romanus = Roman
Que = And

It means "in the name of Senatus and Roman people" . In official acts/written papers or official speechs , romans politics or warriors were using this formula to show they were acting for / in the name of the Senate and the people ( and not for their own ) . This is a way for them to show they are in "Respublica" ( Republic ) . But later Rome will become a monarchy .
If you study latin u see often this formula ( if you look at some ancient roman buildings too ) .

Nerva was a roman emperor .
