Nero is not working!!!

I have an OEM version of Nero 5.5.9.13. When I tried to start a new audio compliation, a dialog box said a plugin was missing from wave editor. I pressed 'Okay'. Then when I tried to drag and drop a wav file into the Audio compliation window, Nero automatically closed.

I tried to uninstall Nero, but it didn't. So I used Norton Cleansweep to do it. I then tried to reinstall Nero but it said, "the wizard was interrupted before Nero could be completely installed."

What is going on????!!!??

If the CD drives are not visable anymore after installing a software supporting CD recorders, there might be a problem with the CD drivers. The Nero Registry Checker is checking the installation of the drivers and correct them, if necessary.

I can't find 'Nero Registry Checker' on that link...

After looking at the dialog box again in Nero, it said it "Could not find the Nero plugin manager."

there, in the drop-menu were it says Nero Burning Rom, select Utilities.
then click on any of the utilities in red. in the screen that comes up find the registry checker.
