AMD Athlon XP Overclock

My roomate have AMD Athlon XP 1800+
He overclocked it by 300 Mhz and got it burned.
What is the safe tempreature for AMD's CPU ?

Anything under 60 degrees Celcius is ideal for the Athlon.

My Athlon XP 1800+ is at 50 degrees Celcius with a room temp of 25 degrees Celcius right now.
