Maximum speed with Plextor 48x24x48x

Postby Noua on Tue Jun 03, 2003 5:20 am

This is a stupid question, but I’ve looked in the forum and found nothing on it, so has anyone been able to achieve maximum recording speed with Plextor 48x24x48x? Cause I’ve been trying for a while know and the maximum I did was 44x.
I know (I’ve read in cdrlab review) that it’s only by the end o f the recording that the burner actually achieves the fastest speeds but, from Plextor, I was expecting more (we always do when we talk about the best). The speed I’m getting it’s fast enough, this is just a curious question... After all I burn a full CD in 3 – 3,30 minutes witch is very good....

Even Plextors don't reach the maximum speed until the end of the disc. :( Oh, well, neither do Lite-Ons.
