I installed a USB 2.0 PCI card & a Firewire PCI card onto my PC.
The USB 2.0 PCI card was not detected by Windows XP until the 3rd reboot. Then Windows XP detected it and installed the correct driver.
The Firewire card was also not detected until about 5 hours later, a 5th reboot. Then Windows XP properly detected the PCI card.
Any idea why the install would be so flaky?
PS - I double checked the PCI cards were secure & snug during the initial install...
