I don't think theres a 9600 based VIVO out there yet. You should be able to get a 9700 based AIW fairly cheap since they're about a year old.
Look at every review of a 256MB Radeon 9800, current games don't require that much onboard memory. There is a slight increase in performance at ultra high resolutions (2%) with all the eye candy turned out. Does the performance increase outweight the cost? No.
Also as I said, the 5600 is a lame duck core, the engine can't get through all that memory. It's unnecessary and adds to the cost of the card.
That review on Anandtech goes into great detail about the VIVO functionality of the card.

) but before making the purchase wanted to hear from your experiences. Luckily tazdevl's links and burninfool's (why not burninwise?) answered my question. And most of the reviews found on HW/OC sites concentrate on benchmarking and performance but not much on the vivo side.
