Getting song titles to show up rather than Track 1, etc.

Postby dickjo5 on Mon Jul 21, 2003 1:41 pm

Must be some expert user out there that can help me with this problem, so thanks in advance.
In recording MP3 files to a CD in *.cda format, I used to get song/artists listings. These titles showed up even when played in Windows Media Player and also when used in CD Labler. Nowadays I get only Track 1, Track 2, etc.
I have insured that Text write is enabled and also record Disc at Once.
I've looked through past messages, but haven't run across this particular problem, and I've read the documentation (just get more confused). I guess I'm not doing something correct and would appreciate some enlightenment.
Thanks
Dick Johnson

As far as I know Windows Media Player doesn't support CD-Text, so you've probably downloaded artist/songs data thru CDDB or some other online service...

You should analyze the cd's you've recorded with a serious tool to really tell if there's cd-text on the cds or not.
Try Clone CD or Easy CDDA Audio Extractor for example...
