90 Fuji CD-R Discs - $5.97 @ CompUSA

Postby Ian on Tue Jul 29, 2003 2:39 pm

I'm really surprised no one posted this. In this weeks ad, CompUSA has 3 30 packs (90 total for the math challenged) for $5.97.

They're $10.99 each. However, you have a $9 instant rebate ($3 per pack). Then you have $18 in mail in rebates ($6 per pack).

Check here for the ad:

I haven't seen any yet. The 48x stuff works fine with most 52x writers.

I have to apologize for not posting that. :( I saw that in the Sunday paper. I picked up three yesterday, did the paperwork (including the online registration) and in the mailbox this aft. So that would make it Aug 20 for my $18, right?

Well, you gotta give it time for it to get to them and then back to you. I'd say 30 days. So around the 30th of August.

Did you fill out 3 different forms or were you able to fill out one form and mail in all 3 UPC codes in 1 envelope?

I wonder if my local CUSA still have them. They tend to get sold out quickly.

Yes, I filled out the 3 cash register forms, attached 3 UPC jinglebobs, stapled those and the cash register receipt to the print out of the online registration form and put in one envelope (hopefully, one stamp was enough).

I only got one cash register form...

I'll have to go online to print off the rebate forms...

I only got one rebate form also. On the web site it will not let you select a qty of 3. It says the rebate is only for one. I am still trying to work this out with CompUSA. I will probably have to return them.

After the "Oh-oh" expressed above, I sent an inquiry to Fuji and received the following e-mail:

Thank you for contacting the Fujifilm MyRewards Support Center.
In response to your question,

There was a problem in our system with the CompUSA 30 pack spindle rebate. in our system it says 1 per person where CompUSA has it as 3 per person. At this time they repaired the problem it will now go through if you are still having problem please call into the number below.

Sincerely,

Kareem Agent# 4005
FujiFilm MyRewards Support Representative

From this response, I gather that they are going to make it right. I will say that I had questions about this deal and posed them to a CompUSA salesperson. Needless to say, he was clueless.
