Pine (106 oem) or Pioneer 106

Postby bbzidane on Sat Aug 02, 2003 8:46 pm

Is there any major difference between getting a pine rebadge pioneer 106 burner compared to a pioneer 106 oem drive?

I mean, would I need hacked firmware to flash pioneer firmwares on to the pine drive? or would i be able to just flash the pine drive with pioneer firmwares?

should i get a pine rebadge pioneer 106 (~$260 cdn) or go with pioneer 106 oem (~$300 cdn)??

thanks

Usually for Pine, they just put other OEM drives directly into their box. So that means the drive won't have a DIFF. firmware version compare with the REAL OEM drive.
