I found this topic on rpc1 forum about new 8x Pioneer, BenQ and Plextor burners. It's just simple news but can satisfy some curiosity... It seems that Christmas is the time to get the new burners... Check it out if you want...

Yeah, most of that info is common news.

Plextor's drive should be out within a week or so. BenQ's in expected to ship in September and Pioneer's new drive is still just a rumor at this point.
