Sony/AC 80min 48X Good?

Postby binny on Sun Sep 21, 2003 1:09 pm

I'm seeing Sony 80min 48X (by Acer, according to http://www.cdrlabs.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=6005) being sold here
Are they good?

Anyone have C1/C2 figures?

It's not what I would call "exeptional" media. My LTR-51327S limits the burn speed to 40x, which seems to be an appropriate speed for this media.
you can see a number of Acer media scans HERE

Note: The Sony 48x media may have at least 2 different ATIP codes, one identifies as Sony, the other as Acer. You can see the "Sony" version HERE

Thanks rdgrimes...seems better than CMC at least based on the scans.

There is also a result for the Sony 48X discs made by Sony in the Media Compatibility List, as you referenced, binny. Look under the Yamaha CRW-F1. Although, keep in mind, the results you get will depend on what burner you use. :)
