This is for all those who could afford (timewise) to wait - I knew it would come down, but couldn't wait since I intentionally sold my three DVD burners just prior to the release of the PX-708A, so I could jump on it when it came out.

WARNING: I just found out that they charge sales tax to NJ (in addition to CA) now!

I just ordered an Optorite DD0203 from www.PCSupplySource.com (in NJ) and they didn't charge me sales tax....I guess they haven't heard.

$230 is a very good deal, I found this last night, but didn't feel like posting it. A great deal on a great drive.

The Sony DRU-510A Retail is $235 from newegg, so, your getting a faster drive, and in many people's opinions, a better drive, so, how can you go wrong?

Sony better drop their prices then , because they won't sell many drives, when the faster Plextor is cheaper or even the same price.

It is apparently (someone mentioned it; I didn't check) back up (slightly) to $235 now, not a big difference, but just thought I would mention it for those who are on the fence...
