I only see $40 in rebates off a list of $80 for a final total of $40. Are you looking at a flyer that says the list price will be reduced next week?

Now I too only see $40 in rebates, but yes, I saw the flyer and it said $20 after rebates. Maybe they still have to cut the original price online to make it $20 after MIR's.

That's a good price! Thanks! :D

Edit: I just checked the web site, and they have reduced the price to $59.99 before rebates.

Yes, a lot of people, myself included, got in on that.
I couldn't resist, even though I have two 52X LiteOn burners.

I haven't paid more than $15 after rebate(s) and coupons for any of my three 52X LiteOn burners (BusLink at Staples, Memorex at OD, and now the LiteOn badged one at BB five or six weeks ago), even going back to February when they were much newer.
Burners only:
Pioneer DVR-115D
Pioneer DVR-111D
Plextor PX-716A TLA0304
Plextor PX-716A same TLA

LiteOn 52246S 52X CD-RW
LiteOn 52246S (another)
LiteOn 52327S 52X CD-RW
TDK 40X USB 2.0 CD-RW

I ordered one of these yesterday morning and naturally, in the afternoon I got an email that they're back-ordered. I sure hope they're able to fill the order and don't just cancel it.

Georgeg: BestBuy did the same thing a month ago when they had this drive for $10. I got my drive in time to send in the rebates, and everyone else did, too, as far as I know. :D

I also got the drive within a week of the rebate expiring from Best Buy. I sent out the rebates right away. Hopefully, I only have to wait a few more weeks instead of a few more months for the rebates to arrive

I think that I got mine between 1 and 2 weeks before the rebate expired; I am looking forward to getting them, too. :D

Same deal here. Mine still sitting on the floor. Don't know what to do with it. Anybody want's it, stop by and take it away for $10 (after my rebates come).

I see this morning that the status of my order has changed from "Backordered" to "In the process of being fulfilled-Shipping takes 5-7 days". Hey, maybe I'll actually get this!

In yesterday's mail, I received the warranty card I had sent in on my new Lite-On burner. There was a stamp on it saying the PO Box was closed! Anyone know how to register a burner with Lite-On or is it worth bothering with?

Registering normally just gives tech support, and Lite-On tech support sucks. Worse than Plextor even, which is bad. Very wierd that thier PO Box closed though.

I was just wondering - why would one need to register in order to get tech support in the first place... just a gimmick to get your info & pester you or sell the info to someone else ! :-? :x
